Fire Mock Drill
An awareness program on disaster mitigation & fire mock drill was conducted at SJNS Jain matriculation Hr. Sec. School, Ganapathy street, Triplicane on 2 nd July 2022. Students of class IX, X, XI and XII (273 students and 50 teachers) participated in the program Mr. Mahendran, Station officer and Mr.Shankar lakshmanan (writer) from Triplicane fire station were the facilitators for the session.
Students learned various disasters caused by the five elements like cyclone, flood, earthquake, Tsunami, forest fire etc.
A mock drill on how to put off the different types of fire using Fire extinguisher, Sand, water, blanket, was organised. Instructions were given on first aid techniques.
The above session helped students to learn on how to respond to these situations & avoid the loss of life and properties. The staff and students took part actively during the mock drill.
We at SJNS provide safe and secure premises and follow the safety measures. We are well equipped with fire extinguishers, fire fighting water pipe, fire bucket stand and fire alarm etc.
